Under 11 Lions

About the Team!

Our Under 10 Lions have been with the club for nearly six years now having started their football journey early at Under 6’s level. The team were originally managed by a manager still in the club (Mark Haines) later being taken on by Mike Kayley. Mike has been supported by Danny Savery in recent seasons and Richard Kayley joining this season, making them the most qualified coaching team in the club as both Mike and Danny hold level one and Richard level two awards. This team take a lot of looking after and are lucky to have two amazing team secretaries in Jenny Mayes and Louise Simons!

Great Bradfords Lions V Tillingham Tigers

The Lions welcomed their friends from Tillingham to Blackmore End on Sunday 2nd February as they looked to continue a strong start to 2020.

The team started slowly today not quite replicating the form they had been in for the previous matches but a few changes around the pitch meant some great development opportunities! With Riley away Toby took the gloves doing a great job for his first time between the sticks.

The Lions worked hard to move themselves through the field and continue the hard work they have been putting in on the training field. A tight day for both teams who can only be commended for excellent work ethic and development!

We go again next week Lions!

Lions or Motor Heads!?

The Under 11 Lions have incredible support as they sport the logos of Just Wheels and AT Autos across their home, away and training kits. Just Wheels have sponsored the Lions since their forming season and have never waivered support following with donations to our raffles and the club as a whole with partner company Phil Bibby Ltd sponsoring our Saints. AT Autos joined last season as sponsor and jointly sponsor the Avengers and Lions giving so much support to the whole club. Thank you to both sponsors for their incredible support and generous donations.

The Squad

Manager: Mike Kayley

Mike rejoined the club as a player in 2015 before starting his youth coaching in 2016 taking on the Lions. Since then Mike has earned his Level One coaching award and is about to begin his Level two qualification. We are also proud to have Mike on board as Child Welfare Officer as of 2019 to support the club as a whole and developing our club for the benefit of all our grassroots players.
