CLub Awards and Honours

 

Presentation 1 (U7-U10)

Tim White Award: For an individual who has given outstanding contribution to the club in any capacity. Nominated by any club member throughout the season and selected by the Awards panel.

Dave Bailey Award: This is a team award for upholding team values, Pride, Passion and Purpose and ensuring that development is a key ingredient in their footballing mantra. Nominated by any member of the committee throughout the season and selected by the Awards panel.

Harry Mills Award: For a player who gives their 100% commitment to the game and in a wider experience the club. This player is not recognised all the time but is consistent in attitude and effort. Nominated by any club member throughout the season and selected by the Awards panel.

 

Presentation 2 (U11-U16)

Vera West Award: For an individual who has given outstanding contribution to the club in any capacity. Nominated by any club member throughout the season and selected by the Awards panel.

Dave Spackman Award: This is a team award for upholding team values, Pride, Passion and Purpose and ensuring that development is a key ingredient in their footballing mantra. Nominated by any member of the committee throughout the season and selected by the Awards panel.

Youth Special Services Award: For a long serving player within the club who supports the committee/management teams in varying circumstances. This award is to recognise the contribution of loyalty and service. Nominated by any club member throughout the season and selected by the Awards panel.

 

Presentation 3 (Senior Football)

Cliff Bright Award: For an individual who has given outstanding contribution to the club in any capacity. Nominated by any club member throughout the season and selected by the Awards panel.

Mandy Daly Award: For going above and beyond the role they hold to deliver the best possible outcomes for Great Bradfords FC. Nominated by any club member throughout the season and selected by the Awards panel.

Senior Special Services Award: For a long serving player within the club who supports the committee/management teams in varying circumstances. This award is to recognise the contribution of loyalty and service. Nominated by any club member throughout the season and selected by the Awards panel.

 

Awarded at any of our Presentation Events:

Chairman’s Cup: An extraordinary achievement for a team, volunteering individual or player within Great Bradfords FC. Awarded for outstanding and unwavering contribution to not only GBFC but the wider community and reputation of the club. Can be nominated by the following officer titles; Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary, Treasurer or Child Welfare Officer. The Chairman will make the final decision on this award. 

Stephen Page Goalkeeping Award: Goalkeeping award for an exemplary goalkeeper of the season, not dependent on clean sheets but on the consideration of the club values “pride, passion, purpose”. Nominated by any club member throughout the season and selected by the Awards panel.

Just Wheels Coach of the Year Award: Coach/Manager nominated by any member throughout the season that has exemplified the values of Great Bradfords FC and focused on the development of players as a forefront. Selected by the Awards panel.

Maureen Baker Award: Extraordinary Achievement Award for a committee member/group who have displayed above and beyond what is needed to support the club. Nominated by any member of the executive committee and final decision made by the presidential committee.

Melvyn Baker Award: Extraordinary Achievement Award for a player within the club who has displayed above and beyond what is expected as a player at the club. Nominated by any member of the executive committee or managers team and final decision made by the presidential committee.

 

Possible Club Honours to nominate for;

 

Life-President Award: The club can have a line up of up to six Life Presidents. This is the club’s most prestigious honor and must be considered heavily by the executive committee before gaining the agreement of 75% of the current presidential line up. One presidential spot must always remain in the Baker family.

Life Vice-President Award: The club can have a line up of up to eight Life Vice-Presidents. This is the step below Life-President and a Vice-President may be nominated to be promoted to the next award at any time given 75% of presidential line up not including themselves agree with the proposal. Executive and above can nominate this.

Lifetime Member Award: The club can have any number of Lifetime Members at any time. This is an honor awarded to those who have consistently gone above and beyond the duties within the club. The lifetime member award does not involve the member sitting on the presidential committee when called but they can be asked to attend to invoke a quorum. Executive and above can nominate this.

Member of Merit: The club can have any number of Members of Merit who can gain higher honours at any time. The Award is given to any member giving service consistently above the standard of the available club awards each season. Anyone can nominate this.

Certificate of Gratitude: The club can award any number of the certificates of gratitude at any time in a given season, these can be awarded at any club meeting or presentation evening. These are awarded for any instances of high support to the club or outer community and a member may receive this award more than once. Anyone can nominate this.

 

Loyalty Awards;

15 Year Loyalty Award: Crystal football award for those serving the club for 15 consecutive years as a player.

10 Year Loyalty Award: Large plaque award for those serving the club for 10 consecutive years as a player.

6 Year Loyalty Award: Medium shield award for those serving the club for 6 consecutive years as a player.

3 Year Loyalty Award: Boxed medal award for those serving the club for 3 consecutive years as a player.
